SkinCeuticals is a well-known, luxury skincare brand but it’s also known for its high prices and inaccessibility to the average beauty-lover. AND they’re not cruelty-free!
We at Brandefy are working on making skincare more accessible and transparent for consumers. Our mobile app helps find the best products by bringing awareness to affordable alternatives through extensive product comparison reviews. Here are SkinCeuticals dupe recommendations from our community.
SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic vs Brandefy Clinical Vit C + E + Ferulic Serum
Brandefy Note: We gave these products to Ally free for testing. All thoughts and opinions are her own. Note that the review process is the same for Brandefy as is it for other brands.
Ally, Dermatology PA, writes why Brandefy's Vitamin C is a great Skinceuticals Vitamin C Dupe:
"I absolutely love the Brandefy 15% Vitamin C + E + Ferulic Acid Serum. What I love most about this serum is the smooth, silky texture and that it leaves the skin feeling hydrated and radiant. Also, a lot of products that contain Ferulic Acid have a pungent smell but this product does not!"

SkinCeuticals Discoloration Defense vs Naturism Tranexamic Topic Acid
@drekitch says,
A really great dupe! Both contain niacinamide and tranexamic acid. They are good for fighting acne, brightening skin, oily skin, scar healing and dark spots.

SkinCeuticals Gentle Cleanser Cream vs La Roche-Posay Hydrating Gentle Cleanser
These both contain the standard ingredients you would find in a simple cleanser - water and glycerin. La Roche-Posay has the added benefit of Ceramide NP to improve the skin's barrier. It also has Niacinamide to improve skin tone and Tocopherol (Vitamin E) to soothe.
SkinCeuticals also has some key ingredients like Orange Peel and Allantoin to soften and improve skin tone. Testers thought these were similar in terms of packaging and feel on the skin.
They are both truly gentle cream cleansers. SkinCeuticals is definitely a thicker cream and seems to moisturize more. In terms of scent, one tester preferred La Roche-Posay because it had no detectable scent while SkinCeuticals smells like a fruity shampoo. If you have sensitive skin, you may also prefer La Roche-Posay. If you love the rich thickness and fruity scent of SkinCeuticals, this dupe is not for you.
