SkinCeuticals Dupes: Part Two

SkinCeuticals Dupes: Part Two

SkinCeuticals is a well-known, luxury skincare brand but it’s also known for its high prices and inaccessibility to the average beauty-lover.  AND they’re not cruelty-free! Here are some dupes for their top-selling products:

skinceuticals vs la roche posay

Brandefy Ingredient Note: Both products contain Sodium Hyaluronate (AKA Hyaluronic Acid), which hydrates the skin and reduces the appearance of fine lines. La Roche-Posay also has Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid (another form of HA). SkinCeuticals contains rice extract which is rich in vitamin E, a known anti-infalmmatory. The SkinCeuticals HA contains a derivative of Salicylic acid known to treat acne. Both products contain alcohol denat. and the La Roche-Posay HA contains fragrance, both ingredients can be irritating to the skin. Vanna says: I’ve always loved and recommended SkinCeuticals HA Intensifier although a lot of my patients searched for an affordable alternative. I feel that La Roche-Posay Hyalu B5 is the perfect drugstore dupe! They are a similar consistency although they have minor differences in ingredients. I used SkinCeuticals for months, took a month break from any hyaluronic acid, then have been using La Roche-Posay for the last 2 months! My opinion: 100% La Roche-Posay Hyalu B5 is the SkinCeuticals HA Intensifier dupe! - Vanna Padilla, Dermatology NP-C

tri lipid replenishment treatment

Brandefy Note: Brandefy is our brand. The review process is the same for Brandefy as it is for other brands. We sent these products to Sophia free for testing. All thoughts and opinions are her own. Sophia says: SkinCeuticals Triple Lipid Restore 2:4:2 Anti-Aging Lipid Replenishment Treatment and Brandefy Skin Silks Triple Lipid Cream Moisturizer are extremely similar. Both creams have anti-aging claims as well as restorative and hydrating properties. I incorporated SkinCeuticals and Brandefy Skin into my nighttime routine and they both yielded similar results. Both have nearly the same consistency and immediately made my skin soft and smooth. After waking up, both products made my skin feel hydrated, youthful, and look glowy. I did consistently notice that Brandefy Skin was fully absorbed into my skin by the morning, but SkinCeuticals was not completely absorbed. The differences between these products are minimal. Brandefy Skin is truly fragrance free whereas SkinCeuticals has a slight smell that does not linger past application. SkinCeuticals is also slightly thicker, which requires the product to be rubbed into the skin more compared to the Brandefy Skin. Although both products come in the nearly identical jar packaging, SkinCeutical provides a little spatula which helps avoid scooping the product with your fingers. Overall, both these products achieve their claims and yield similar results. Given the similarities, I would definitely prefer the affordable, yet highly effective Brandefy Skin Silks Triple Lipid Cream Moisturizer. - Sophia

brandefy silym clarify serum

The SkinCeuticals Vitamin C serum is very well known and I’ve heard lots of people say how much they love it BUT this Brandefy Vitamin C for blemish prone skin is my new holy grail!! The SkinCeuticals serum broke me out really badly and I wasn’t a fan of its thick, oily consistency. One thing I love about the Brandefy serum is how easily it soaks into my skin without leaving any oily feel, really just giving a glow from within. I’ve been using it for almost two weeks at this point and I’m already seeing a noticeable difference in my dark spots and the overall glow and texture of my face. This will definitely be a new staple in my skin care routine! - @stariliss
