@gamcallister compared the Luna Retinol Sleeping Night Oil to the Youth Boosting Blue-ty Sleep Night Oil. Here's what they had to say:
These products are very similar! I’d been using a lighter creamy serum with encapsulated retinol but wasn’t seeing as much of a result as I was hoping so decided to try something new.
Both products have a true oil type consistency from the dropper. The Sunday Riley serum does feel a bit thicker when applied compared to the Elf oil though both felt nice on the skin and absorbed fairly quickly. Because the Elf oil did seem a bit thinner it was a little trickier to manage the flow from the dropper without some residual leaking but it was manageable all in all. If you don’t like a heavier-feeling application on your face at night I’d opt for the Elf oil.
In addition the Sunday Riley oil had a very strong almost medicinal smell which was mildly overwhelming when applied and it did linger. If you’re sensitive to smell at all I would stay away from this oil. In general I think both worked similarly for the few months I was using them. I have sensitive combination skin and but tend to have hormonal breakouts along my jawline and both did seem to cause a few flare ups for me. I’m not sure if this was due to the oil base of the product but if you’re not prone to those kinds of breakouts then these would both probably be a safe bet.
The smaller Sunday Riley oil contains 15mL for ~$55 and the Elf oil contains 30mL for ~$18. Because both products seemed similar in effect, the Elf oil was more fragrance free (my preference) and less than 1/2 the price for double the product, I’d opt for the Elf oil.
