I used to use the skinceuticals. My dermatologist told me to use it with a retinol containing moisturizer. I see you say not to use it with retinols. Why is that?: Hi there! Great question. Vitamin C and retinol are both powerful, clinically backed actives, but because they’re strong in different ways, it’s best not to layer them at the same time. Vitamin C shines in the morning, helping protect skin from free radical damage throughout the day, while retinol works best at night to support cell turnover and collagen production. So the golden rule is: Vitamin C in the AM, retinol in the PM. That way, you get the benefits of both without overwhelming your skin. Of course, since everyone’s skin is unique, we always recommend checking in with your dermatologist if you’re unsure about your specific routine.
pH?: Our vitamin C serum is formulated at a pH below 4 to keep it potent and effective, exactly where your skin needs it.
Will storing the serum in a refrigerator (but ensuring the product doesn't freeze) extend shelf-life?: Yes! It's typically recommended to store serum in a cool, dark place to preserve its effectiveness, so keeping it in the refrigerator (as long as it doesn’t freeze) is okay.
Is it 30 ML?: Our vitamin C serum is 1 fl oz / 30 ml!
My product has started to turn orange after about half the bottle has been used up. Does this mean it’s no longer effective?: Hi, there! Your Vitamin C is still effective! Our Vitamin C serum contains L-Ascorbic Acid, which is a pure form of Vitamin C. Over time, this ingredient will slowly begin to change in color, but is still effective as it changes, until it is brown. We recommend replenishing your Vitamin C serum every 6 months, or when it turns brown. You can also store in a cool, dark place to help it last as long as possible.
