Biossance Squalane + 10% Lactic Acid Resurfacing Night Serum vs The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2%

Biossance Squalane + 10% Lactic Acid Resurfacing Night Serum vs The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2%

Jeema, Dermatology PA-C compared the Squalane + 10% Lactic Acid Resurfacing Night Serum to the Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2%. Here's what they had to say:

These are two great products and are both very beneficial to all skin types; especially for those with dry, combo, normal or sensitive skin. They both have similar active ingredients, containing Lactic acid, water and glycerin. This combination is great for exfoliation (AHAs) and hydration (glycerin and water components). AHAs such as Lactic acids, are great for resurfacing/exfoliating the skin, stimulating collagen, improving fine lines and wrinkles, and helping with acne and hyperpigmentation. I applied both products on separate areas of my face for 5 weeks and felt both were effective at exfoliating the skin and lightening pigmentary changes. However, I personally did not like the smell of the Biossance Squalane+Lactic acid serum. My overall assessment is that The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% is equivalent in effectiveness to the Biossanse Squalene + Lactic Acid Resurfacing Night Serum. I would recommend the Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% especially given the price point and effectiveness. I would also recommend starting a good moisturizing regimen before beginning usage and using small amounts of product. Especially if you are new to using (AHAs)/acids or have sensitive skin.
