Mario Badescu Drying Lotion vs SheaMoisture African Black Soap & Bamboo Charcoal Drying Lotion

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion vs SheaMoisture African Black Soap & Bamboo Charcoal Drying Lotion

Kayla compared the Drying Lotion to the African Black Soap & Bamboo Charcoal Drying Lotion. Here's what they had to say:

Both products are in glass bottles & marketed to do the exact same thing. Essentially they are topical treatments on a pimple or blemish - you put it on the problem area before you go to bed and when you get up in the morning & wash it off the blemish should be gone or look a lot better than it did the night before. Mario does offer a plastic bottle option which would be good for traveling. Both products smell exactly the same. Both products contain Sulfur, Water, Calamine, Salicylic Acid, Isopropyl Alcohol, Camphor. SheaMoisture also contains Tea Tree Oil. SheaMoisture has a little less sediment in the bottom of the bottle compared to Mario. Both products do work. I put both brands on some different blemishes before bed and when I woke up either the blemish was gone or the redness near the blemish disappeared and by the end of the day the blemish disappeared as well. SheaMoisture has many more ingredients compared to Mario Badescu. I think both products work really well and do what they are marketed for. While the ingredients won’t be a complete dupe for each other in the end you get the same outcome. You should definitely give SheaMoisture a try.
