Brandefy compared the Daily Microfoliant to the Purifying Rice Cleansing Powder. Here's what they had to say:
Both Dermalogica and Revolution contain rice starch and oat flour which are physcial exfoliants. Dermalogical also contains salicylic acid which is a chemical exfoliant. Revolution has Sodium Bicarbonate (commonly known as baking soda) which same say can help with acne, but we would suggest treading lightly with this ingredient as it is also said to cause inflammation and irritation. Testers were surprised to discover that these did not have more similar ingredients. They thought these two products were very similar in terms of smell, feel, and the little bit of lather they got. In fact, one tester could not tell them apart in a blind test.
