Kayla compared the The Water Cream to the Hydration Boost Gel Cream. Here's what they had to say:
PRICE: Tatcha Water Cream is $68 for 1.7 oz and Revolution Hydration Boost is $10 for 1.7 oz. SIMILARITIES: The Tatcha packaging is very luxurious right down to the little spatula that is on top of the cover. Revolution is nice as well with the rose gold cap & glass container. Both brands made my skin feel very soft. Both brands are described as lightweight - which I agree with. They both have Hyaluronic Acid which is good for hydrating the skin. DIFFERENCES: Tatcha is highly fragranced. It did not smell bad, just strong. Revolution is fragrance-free. Revolution is slightly thicker in consistency compared to Tatcha. It has a whipped type of texture. Revolution absorbed quickly into my skin and it felt exactly as described - soothing. Tatcha absorbed similarly but made my skin feel slightly greasy for a little bit. Tatcha is not targeted for people with very dry skin even though some people think it is. It is more for oily or combo skin. Revolution is alcohol and silicone free. Tatcha is not. There are 10 ingredients in Revolution while Tatcha has 29. Tatcha is considered Clean at Sephora while Makeup Revolution does not claim to be Clean. FINAL THOUGHTS: In the end, I was incredibly impressed with the Revolution price & very simple ingredients. In skincare, the fancy packaging is nice and the fragrance smells wonderful but it is not needed. If you are looking for a good gel cream for combo skin I would definitely give Revolution Hydration Boost a try.
