Mario Badescu Drying Lotion vs Bye Bye Blemish Acne Treatment Drying Lotion

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion vs Bye Bye Blemish Acne Treatment Drying Lotion

Kayla compared the Drying Lotion to the Acne Treatment Drying Lotion. Here's what they had to say:

PRICE: Mario Badescu Drying Lotion is $17 for 1 oz while Bye Bye Blemish Drying Lotion is around $10 for 1 oz. SIMILARITIES: They are in glass bottles and marketed to do the exact same thing. Essentially they are topical treatments for a pimple/blemish - you put it on the problem area before you go to bed and when you get up in the morning and wash it off the blemish should be gone or look a lot better than it did the night before. Should be very little redness. Both products smell the same to me. Both products contain Sulfur, Zinc Oxide, Salicylic Acid, Alcohol & Camphor. DIFFERENCES: Mario does offer a plastic bottle option which would be good for traveling. Mario contains Calamine which also helps irritation & itching. Mario has far more drying ingredients in its bottle compared to Bye Bye Blemish. You will use up the clear liquid (actual treatment) far quicker than you would use up the pink sediment (soothing ingredients). Mario is more opaque in color than Bye Bye Blemish but that did not seem to make the cheaper brand work any less. FINAL THOUGHTS: Both products do work. I put both brands on some different blemishes before bed and when I woke up either the blemish was gone or the redness near the blemish disappeared and by the end of the day the blemish disappeared as well. I think you get the same product just much cheaper. The only thing that you may notice is that you may use up Bye Bye Blemish quicker compared to Mario because it has less Salicylic Acid & Alcohol but even so two bottles of Bye Bye Blemish is still cheaper than Mario. Make the switch!
