Brandefy compared the Drunk Elephant B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum to The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5. Here's what they had to say:
Drunk Elephant is $48 for 1.69 oz while The Ordinary is $12.20 for 2 oz. *Both of these products contain panthenol (AKA Vitamin B5), which is known to soften, heal, and soothe skin. They also both have hyaluronic acid, which holds water to hydrate dry skin. They share other ingredients to soften skin but note that Drunk Elephant has watermelon, lentil, and apple extracts which they claim help to hydrate skin. Drunk Elephant also contains Niacinamide which is a great brightener. Given the healing and soothing powers of the ingredients in both of these products, we feel they would both be good for people with dry skin. This information was researched on SkinCarisma. Both have an EWG score of 2, and the best score on a scale of 1-10 is 1. Testers noted that these smell fairly similar. Drunk Elephant has a very faint smell, while The Ordinary did not have a detectable smell to our panel. They found the Drunk Elephant to be a bit stickier and The Ordinary to be more of a classic oil. All said they would switch to save because the differences were so slight. If you tried either of these products, comment with your opinions.
