After asking lots of different people over 8 hours whether they could see a difference between the two sides of my face, no one was able to notice that I was wearing two different foundations! These foundations are almost identical! Both Benefit and Maybelline offer a small amount of SPF and medium coverage. They both blend out beautifully, leaving a natural, satin finish (neither matte nor dewy). I found that Benefit in shade 3 is similar to Maybelline in shade 130, with Benefit oxidizing slightly. Both products can be worn without a powder if you have dryer skin, or with a powder, if you want a more matte look on oily skin. Although both products claim to leave a hydrating feeling on your skin, I would recommend wearing a moisturizer with both, but a primer is not necessary. Finally, neither product caused me to break out. The only difference with the products comes down to the packaging. Benefit has a lovely pump with its packaging, while Maybelline does not. However, at the end of the day, this makes Maybelline slightly more eco-friendly as it is easier to clean out and recycle.
