Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder vs Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder

Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder vs Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder

Carianne compared the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder to the Airspun Loose Face Powder. Here's what they had to say:

At the end of the day, both Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder and Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder in Translucent were able to keep makeup in place. These powders were up to the challenge when tackling summer humidity and hours of travel. Worn on the same day with half of the face wearing LM and the other half wearing Coty, the powders looked identical under a variety of lighting. Prior to application, the powders in the containers appear to have slightly different coloring, however, after application, both products are translucent. The only major difference in the products themselves come down to scent. LM has no scent, but Coty has a very obvious floral perfume and baby powder scent. While the scent is pleasant and disappears after a couple of minutes, to more sensitive noses this could be a dealbreaker. The final note comes down to how much bang you get for your buck. LM retails for $39 for 1oz, while Coty is happy to give you 2.3oz for $7.99. Overall, whether you are doing a full face look and need to bake your contours, or just need a light setting before starting your day, both products will leave you smooth and matte.
