Pair Your Vitamin C for Next-Level Results
It's the best antioxidant in your routine — but pair it right and it does more. Here are the three ingredients to reach for alongside vitamin C, and the Brandefy formula for each.
Why Vitamin C Wants Company
Vitamin C is a powerhouse antioxidant — it helps brighten, even tone, and neutralize the free radicals that sun and pollution throw at your skin all day. But a single active is a step, not a routine. Together, these three ingredients enhance vitamin C's performance by helping protect skin, visibly even tone, and support a healthy skin barrier.
Start with the anchor, then add the pairing your skin needs. Build the full set during Friends & Family and you save $37.20.
Clinical Vit C + E + Ferulic Defend Serum
15% L-Ascorbic Acid · Vitamin E · 0.5% Ferulic Acid
The foundation. A daytime antioxidant serum that helps brighten dullness, even tone, and defend against free-radical damage — with Vitamin E and ferulic acid to stabilize the vitamin C and support its protection.
“It was recommended by my dermatologist. The change has been significant… what I like is how it evens out my skin tone and brightens it.”
Tinted Defense Broad Spectrum SPF 50
100% mineral · 16.5% zinc oxide · sheer-tinted
The classic pairing. Sunscreen helps block UV, while vitamin C helps neutralize the free radicals that still get through — and SPF helps protect the brightening progress you're working for from fresh sun damage. This one is a 100% mineral, sheer-tinted formula that layers cleanly over your serum.
No Needles Renew Serum
4% niacinamide · hyaluronic acid · peptide complex
Niacinamide helps calm redness, refine texture and the look of pores, and support the barrier and tone right alongside vitamin C. No Needles adds hyaluronic acid for hydration and peptides for firmness, too.

“This paired with the Vitamin C serum is the magic bullet my skin needed.”
Tri Lipid Replenish Treatment
1.5% ceramides · 4.0% pomegranate sterols · 1.8% fatty acids
Vitamin C actives can leave some skin dry or a little sensitized. Ceramides help rebuild the barrier so your skin tolerates actives better and holds onto moisture — which is why a lipid treatment belongs in any actives routine. Apply it right after your serum to seal everything in.
From a Brandefy survey of 71 users, fielded December 2024–January 2025. Respondents bought the product themselves and were offered a discount code for completing the survey.
“Lightweight, non greasy, and moisturizes well… I use this after the defend serum and things are going well.”
How to Layer It All
Thinnest to thickest, actives before moisturizer. In the morning: cleanse, apply your vitamin C serum, layer No Needles, seal with Tri Lipid, and finish with SPF — always the last step of your morning routine. At night, skip the SPF.
New to actives? Start with vitamin C and SPF, then add niacinamide and ceramides over a couple of weeks so your skin can adjust.

Great product!
“Love the No Needles serum along with the Tri Lipid and CE Ferulic. I've been using all three products for several months now. I'm 55 and it has definitely brightened my skin, lightened my dark spots and my wrinkles have definitely softened. I'm a very happy customer for life!”

Questions Answered
Do I Really Need All Four?
No. Vitamin C and SPF are the non-negotiable pair — start there. Add niacinamide and ceramides as your skin asks for more calming, barrier support, or hydration. You can build the routine one step at a time.
AM or PM?
Vitamin C and SPF belong in the morning — that's when your skin faces UV and pollution. Niacinamide and ceramides work morning or night. A simple order: vitamin C, then niacinamide, then the ceramide treatment, then SPF as your final morning step.
